The year was 1990. There were lots of things going on the world:
George H. W. Bush was the President of the United States.
There was a war going on in the middle east called the Gulf War.
Dances With Wolves won the Oscar for Best Picture that year.
And I, Adelord Gorbett, was born
on January 12, 1990
I was a bright and curious child. As far back as I can remember, I always liked watching TV with my grandfather, and my older brother, and listening to stories. Ben and I were were Star Wars fans, but Gramps preferred Star Trek. He told us that he remembered seeing the very first episode of Star Trek ever shown on TV in September, 1966.
